The Foodies Guide to Scottsdale
Scottsdale, Arizona
This past weekend, I was fortunate enough to visit Scottsdale Arizona for a long weekend! My best friend and I went from a Friday to Monday and had some of the best treats throughout the trip. I swear Scottsdale has some of the best food Iβve had in a long while. If you are ever planning to visit, I HIGHLY recommend doing so and reading through this post to gain all the inspiration!
Hash Kitchen
Within an hour of landing, my bestie (and food photographer extraordinaire Amanda) and I made our way to Hash Kitchen. When I tell you this is one of the greatest brunch places Iβve ever discovered, I mean it!! They had a live DJ. They had A FLIGHT OF MIMOSAS!!!! There were also a plethora of fun cocktails but I am a fashionista first and foremost so the booze budget wasnβt huge. Not only were the drinks and ambiance fantastic, but the food was a real treat. We got delicious cannoli donuts and eggs Benedict, both were made in house and you could taste the freshness. I would easily give it a πππππ rating.
Unbaked
I got the mint and Amanda had the regular dough!
Next stop was Unbaked for some edible cookie dough. If youβre anything like me, you have a sweet tooth and once more this place did not disappoint. Located a ten minutes walk from our hotel (shout out to the Holiday Inn!), this place was definitely Insta-worthy and they had ice cream AND cookie dough! While the ice cream was not the greatest Iβve ever had, it definitely hit the spot and the cold treat was ideal for a desert newbie like myself. Overall, ππππ from me!
Salty Seniorita
To round out the first night, I ended up craving Mexican. We went to this spot Salty Seniorita on a whim and it did not disappoint. Now, I normally do not go for Margaritas but their Louboutin flavor was next level. It was a vanilla strawberry marg and I guarantee you I will be a tequila drink gal after this.
Not only were the drinks great, but the food was also quite tasty! I went with some quesadillas and they were rather filling without being too much at night. Overall another πππππ rating from me!!
Culinary Dropout
Best Au Jus in a long time!
On the second day, we made our way to Culinary Dropout and when I say I have never been recommended a spot more, I mean it!! Everyone I talked to told me to visit this restaurant and Iβm so glad we did. I got an incredible Au Jus sandwich and my friend had a beautiful breakfast burrito. Not only was the food great, but the actual restaurant itself was super cute and the menu was overall just fun. Again getting a πππππ from me!
Sugar Bowl
If you are looking for an Instagram worthy dessert spot, look no further than Sugar Bowl. I felt transported right back to the 1950s and their actual selection was fabulous. At the time I was craving a milkshake and theirs didnβt disappoint. Their sundaes also looked incredible if thatβs more your speed. Either way, getting another πππππ from me.
Oreganoβs
Not going to lie, this was the worst spot we went to the entire weekend. While the restaurant itself was super cute, the pizza was not the best Iβve ever had. The pie itself was quite big for one person (couldβve been user error), and the crust tasted a bit off. While it worked great for photo purposes, I do believe there are far greater restaurants throughout the city! For that, it gets ππ.
Farm and Craft
Canβt recommend Aperol enough! My friend also got a melon cocktail, how cool!!
And now we are back to the incredible restaurants. First up was Farm and Craft! Their outdoor bar was so nice and they had my all time favorite cocktail, Aperol spritz! I definitely grabbed a drink and also got a great breakfast burrito. Now, their food is on the healthier side but it still was flavorful and kept my stomach well for an afternoon of Top Golf. Iβm not the biggest health nut but I could easily eat there again and again. For that, πππππ
Rehab Burger Therapy
Got a mushroom swiss, such a classic for a reason!
To top off our list, I must mention Rehab Burger Therapy. While the ambiance reminded me of Hawaii, the burgers were definitely from the mainland. I would say the burgers were not the greatest I have ever had, but the french fries were quite fantastic. If you were feeling adventurous, they did have some wacky flavors but I was not my hungriest that day. Overall, ππππ for me!
Safe Travels
I hope this list of restaurants (and fashion inspo!) helps your next trip to Scottsdale! It should go without saying but please be careful on this adventure and wear a mask when you are out and about. Remember safety is always a top priority and we can still do our part while exploring this beautiful world!
Best,
Lauren
